By Luxury Phinisi Labuan Bajo Editorial Desk
Luxury Phinisi Labuan Bajo is an English-language guide to comparing luxury phinisi charters from Labuan Bajo, with a request desk attached, under Juara Holding Group. It has no catalogue. It sets out sourced facts and published rates with their origin, and it says openly that using the desk may end in a contract with our companies.
What is this site?
It is two things under one name. The first is a guide for people about to spend serious money on a charter: how to read a rate, what sits outside it, which papers to ask for, what the weather and park rules can do to a plan. The second is a desk that answers questions and takes requests by WhatsApp and email.
Luxury Phinisi Labuan Bajo is a specialist maritime brand under Juara Holding Group. It is not a government body, a classification society or a law firm, and nothing here replaces advice from any of them.
A word on the name. "Luxury phinisi" is a market label and we use it because sellers print it and readers know it. For UNESCO, Pinisi names the rig and sail of the Sulawesi schooner, and it does not name a class of cruise boat. So when we write "luxury phinisi" we mean boats sold under that label. We do not mean a certified category, and no page here should be read as saying that one exists. For rates, inclusions, seasons and deposit checks, start with the luxury phinisi Labuan Bajo guide on our home page.
What does this site not do?
It does not sell from a catalogue. Boats are named on these pages because a public source says something useful about them, and a mention tells you nothing about availability through us. A boat in a comparison is an example for the reader, and its presence is neither an endorsement nor a listing.
- We do not publish a fleet, a sailing calendar or a package list.
- We do not rank boats or hand out scores.
- We do not take a booking through a web page. A page can inform you, and it cannot commit anyone to a price or a date.
- We do not name individual writers or claim personal credentials. The byline is the Luxury Phinisi Labuan Bajo Editorial Desk, and responsibility sits with the desk.
When you contact the desk, it answers from what it can source and tells you when it cannot. A reply in a chat is a reply and nothing more. The only document that binds anybody is a written offer you have read and accepted.
Who issues contracts?
The site itself is not a contracting party. If a request leads to a contract, one of three companies in the group issues it, depending on the kind of work.
| Kind of contract | Issued by |
|---|---|
| Brokerage, central agency, charter marketing and commercial representation | PT Komodo Bahari Nusantara |
| Construction, repair, refit and vessel sale | PT Komodo Galangan Nusantara |
| Boat management | PT Komodo Vessel Management |
For any work on a vessel, the work location is stated in the offer. Any fee and payment terms are stated in the offer too, and you see them before you agree to anything. Read the name of the issuing company on the offer you receive and check that it matches the kind of service you are buying. If it does not, ask why before you pay.
What is your interest in the advice you give?
We have a commercial one, and you should weigh it. A guide that teaches you how to judge offers sits beside a desk that can lead to an offer from our own companies. No amount of careful writing removes that conflict, so we state it instead.
Our answer has three parts. First, every test on this site applies to us. If a page tells you to ask for a paper, a tax line or an inclusion list, you can ask us for the same thing. Second, the comparisons here rest on other people's published pages, which you can open and read for yourself. Third, nothing obliges you to use the desk. You can take everything on these pages to another seller, and the guidance works just the same.
The disclaimer states the same position in shorter, more formal terms.
How are facts and prices sourced and dated?
Each claim is tied to a public source that we name, and each published rate carries its source and the month we checked it. Different kinds of source get different treatment in the text, because they deserve different levels of trust.
| Kind of source | How we write it | What it is good for |
|---|---|---|
| Official bodies, such as UNESCO or the park authority | Named directly | Rules, status and definitions |
| News reports, such as Kompas or Detik | "Kompas reports", with the date where it matters | Events and statements by officials |
| Operators | "Vela states", "according to its operator" | That boat's own rates and terms, as its seller presents them |
| Agents | "An agent listing says" | Starting figures and terms, to be confirmed in writing |
| Encyclopedias | "Wikipedia says" | Background only |
An example shows why this matters. The park authority runs a tariff and carrying capacity page and offers the SiOra app download there, yet the figures on that page sit inside images. The amounts we cite therefore come from Kompas's report on the regulation, and we say so instead of presenting them as read from the official page.
When sources disagree, we print the disagreement. Lamima's site claims "World's Largest Phinisi Ever Built" for itself, and Prana by Atzaro's site uses "biggest and most luxurious" for its own boat. We report both and decide neither.
When we have no solid source, we say that plainly and leave the number out. You will find no market-wide average nightly price here, no standard deposit percentage, and no certified capacity or crew licence details for any named boat, because we have no document that would support them. For how this works in practice, start with the guide to published rates, where each figure sits beside its seller and unit. Rates are public figures from other parties. They are not quotes, and they are not offers from us.
Prices and rules also go stale. A rate period ends, a harbourmaster issues a new notice, a park tariff changes. The month beside a figure tells you when we last looked, so check the source link before you rely on anything for a payment.
How do you report a correction?
Write to the desk and make it easy to check. We need three things:
- The address of the page, and the sentence or figure you think is wrong.
- What you believe it should say.
- A public source that supports the change, such as an operator's rate page, an official notice or a dated report.
Operators and agents are welcome to correct facts about their own boats in the same way. If a rate has changed, a link to the new rate page is enough. If the source supports the correction, the page changes. If two sources conflict, the page may end up showing both.
A correction does not need to come with a booking or any other relationship with us, and you do not need to give a reason for raising one. If you only have a general question, the frequently asked questions may already answer it, and the contact page explains how to write a request the desk can act on.
What else do readers need to know about us?
Is this site a charter operator?
No. It is a guide and a request desk. The site itself does not operate boats and is not a party to any contract.
Are the boats named here available through you?
Not necessarily. A boat is named because a public source says something useful about it. Availability, price and terms come only from a written offer.
Where will I see any fee?
In the offer. Any fee and payment terms are stated there, so you can read them before you agree to anything.
Who writes the pages?
The Luxury Phinisi Labuan Bajo Editorial Desk. Pages carry the desk's byline and no individual names.
Can an operator ask for a correction?
Yes. Send the page address, the wording you want changed and a public source that supports it, and the desk will check it like any other correction.
Which sources support this page?
- UNESCO: Pinisi, art of boatbuilding in South Sulawesi
- Balai Taman Nasional Komodo: tariff and carrying capacity page
- Kompas: Komodo park ticket rules
- Lamima: home page
- Prana by Atzaro: home page
How do I reach the desk?
Questions, source corrections and requests all go to the same place: WhatsApp 6281139414563 or bd@juaraholding.com. Tell us which of the three you are sending, since it helps the desk reply in the right way.
Send the desk your dates, group size, and budget range. The desk replies in writing.
