By Luxury Phinisi Labuan Bajo Editorial Desk

Write to the Luxury Phinisi Labuan Bajo desk on WhatsApp at +62 811-3941-4563 or by email at bd@juaraholding.com. Say which boat or kind of trip you have in mind, your dates, your group size and what you need answered. The desk replies to questions. The only document that binds anyone is a written offer you accept.

How should you write the first message?

Put everything in one message, and put the most time-sensitive fact in the first line. A single paragraph with dates, numbers and one clear question can be answered directly. A greeting followed by a wait usually costs you a round of replies before anyone reaches the point.

Use WhatsApp for a short question and email for anything with an attachment or a long comparison, such as an offer from another provider that you want to read against the published sources. Stay in one channel once you have started, so the thread holds the whole history. If your dates are close, say so at the start, because that changes what is worth discussing.

You do not have to sound like a charter professional. Plain words work: "We are six adults and two children, late July, about five nights, and we want to know whether the boats we like will be in Komodo then." That sentence already answers most of what the desk would otherwise ask. A fuller example looks like this.

We are 8 people, 6 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 12. We would like 5 nights from Labuan Bajo in the second half of July next year, and the dates can move by about a week. We are looking at two boats, and one seller quoted a rate per night while the other quoted a total. Two of us are certified divers. Can you help us put the two on the same basis, and tell us what we should ask next?

What should you send the desk?

Send what you know and say what you do not. A blank is more useful than a guess, because a guessed group size or date range leads to answers that fall apart later. The table lists what helps most, and why.

What should you send the desk?
DetailExampleWhy it matters
Dates or monthSecond half of July, can move a weekPublished calendars differ by boat, so dates decide which boats are in Komodo
NightsFive nights, or "not sure yet"Some boats publish a minimum length
GuestsSix adults, two children aged 9 and 12Cabins, rate bands and family suitability all turn on this
Boats you are consideringThe names, or "none yet"The answer can then rest on that boat's own published terms
DiversTwo certified, one wants to learnBoats differ on whether they support diving
Diet or access needsOne nut allergy, one guest with limited mobilityThese affect the galley, the tender and the choice of boat
Offers you already holdA PDF or screenshot, with payment details hiddenThe basis of a quote can be read line by line
Your question"What does this rate leave out?"It keeps the reply on what you need

A budget is optional. If you give one, say what it is meant to cover: a whole-boat total or an amount per person, with or without tax, flights and park fees. Published figures come in several units, and our guide to published prices shows how much that matters before you set a number.

If you are still at the stage of working out how booking works at all, read our guide to booking with any provider first. It will tell you which of these details you will need sooner or later, whoever you end up dealing with.

What should you leave out of a first message?

A first message does not need identity documents or payment details. Keep these out of it.

  • Passport scans, passport numbers or copies of any other identity document.
  • Card numbers, bank log-ins or proof of payment for another booking.
  • Medical records. If a condition affects meals or safety on board, a plain sentence describing the need is enough at this stage.
  • A full guest list with birth dates. The number of guests and the children's ages will do.
  • Any payment. Do not pay on the strength of this site alone; any fee and payment terms are stated in the offer.

Passport names do matter later, and it is worth preparing for that. Neptune Liveaboards' guide says Komodo National Park registration needs each name exactly as the passport shows it, and that late passenger changes should reach the operator quickly. The park authority offers its SiOra registration app on its official tariff and capacity page. So ask your group now to check the exact spelling on their passports, and hold those details until a provider you have contracted with asks for them through a channel you have verified.

One more precaution. If anyone claiming to be this desk asks you for money before you have a written offer in hand, stop and check by writing to the WhatsApp number or email address printed on this page.

What happens after you write?

The sequence is short, and it runs in this order.

  1. The desk reads your message and replies, either with an answer or with the questions it needs answered first. We do not publish a reply-time commitment.
  2. Where the answer rests on a published source, the reply should say which one, so you can check it. Where we could not confirm something, the reply should say that too.
  3. If your request is one the desk cannot help with, it should tell you, so that you can look elsewhere.
  4. If the conversation moves towards a contract, you receive a written offer. It names the contracting company and sets out the boat, dates, what is and is not included, any fee and the payment terms.
  5. You read the offer and compare it with anything else you hold. Nothing is reserved and nothing is agreed until you accept it in writing.

Some things no reply can settle. The desk cannot tell you in advance what the weather or the harbour authority will do on your dates, or what wildlife you will see. Treat any message that sounds certain on those points with caution, including one from us.

Which companies issue contracts?

The site itself is not a contracting party, as you will see on any offer. It is a specialist maritime brand under Juara Holding Group, made up of a guide and a request desk, and it publishes no catalogue of boats or departures.

  • Brokerage, central agency, charter marketing and commercial representation contracts are issued by PT Komodo Bahari Nusantara.
  • Construction, repair, refit and vessel-sale contracts are issued by PT Komodo Galangan Nusantara. The work location is stated in the offer.
  • Boat-management contracts are issued by PT Komodo Vessel Management.

Any fee and payment terms are stated in the offer. Requests through the desk can lead to a contract with one of these companies, so that is the interest you should keep in mind when you read what we send. Test our offer as you would test anyone's. Check that the company named on it is the one you expected, and ask about any line you do not follow before you accept. The fuller statement of these roles sits on our disclaimer page.

What else can you use the desk for?

Corrections are welcome. Every figure on this site comes from a public source that can change, so if you see a rate, a rule or a calendar that has moved, send the page address, the item in question and where you saw the newer version. That is the most direct way to improve what the next reader finds.

Boat owners can write too, on the same channels, if the question concerns charter marketing, management, repair or sale. Say what the vessel is, where it is now and what you are trying to arrange, and leave ownership documents out of the first message for the same reason guests leave out passports.

What do people ask before writing to the desk?

Is there a contact form on this site?

No. The desk takes messages by WhatsApp and email only, so what you send stays in your own chat or inbox and you have a record of it.

Can I book a boat by sending a message?

No. A message starts a conversation and does not reserve anything. A booking needs a written offer from the contracting company, which you then accept.

Do I need to have chosen a boat before I write?

No. Say what kind of trip you have in mind and when you can travel. Naming boats helps once you have some, because the answer can then rest on their own published terms.

Should I send passports with my first message?

No. Keep identity documents until a contract requires them. In the meantime, ask your group to check the exact spelling of the names on their passports, since park registration depends on it.

Does the desk publish a fleet list or departure dates?

No. This site is a comparison guide with no catalogue. It quotes other people's published boats and rates as evidence, and those are not offers from us.

Which sources support this page?

How do I reach the desk?

WhatsApp: +62 811-3941-4563. Email: bd@juaraholding.com. Those are the only two channels for this desk, and anything claiming to come from it should reach you from one of them.
