Sourced figures: prices in the table carry their source and check month. A published rate is not a quote and not our offer, and nothing here is legal advice.

Published lists vary by boat. Lamima names jet skis, e-foil boards and underwater scooters, the Phinisi 50 listing names water skis and a windsurfer, and Sanctuary's operator names kayaks, paddleboards and canoes. Vela says it uses Seabobs and jet skis only outside national park boundaries, so a toy on a list may not be usable everywhere you sail.
What do boats list?
Here is what four boats publish, in each source's own terms. A web list says nothing about how many of each item are on board or whether they work.
| Boat | Published items | Source type | Inclusion wording |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lamima | Jet skis, e-foil boards, underwater scooters, a sailing dinghy, wakeboard, water ski, paddleboards, kayaks, surfboards | Operator rate page | Water toys are listed as included in the private charter rate |
| Vela | Seabob and jet ski are mentioned, with a limit on where they are used | Operator rate page | Activities are listed as included. Ask about these two items by name |
| Phinisi 50 | Snorkelling equipment, fishing gear, sea kayaks, water skis, a wakeboard, a windsurfer | Agent listing | Price is said to include diving, kayak, snorkel and fishing equipment |
| Sanctuary | Scuba and snorkelling equipment, kayaks, paddleboards, canoes | Operator page | The page does not settle this. Ask |
Motorised items are where the lists part ways. Lamima and Vela mention them, while the Phinisi 50 and Sanctuary lists do not name a jet ski or a Seabob at all. Paddle and hand-powered gear is the common ground, with kayaks on three of the four lists. A Komodo operator guide describes water toys and a tender as features of its luxury class, and lists snorkelling equipment among the things a typical Labuan Bajo charter rate covers. Those are its labels and its idea of typical, and they do not bind any boat. For how that class wording varies, see our page on vessel classes.
Four boats are not a survey. These are simply boats with public lists, and many boats may carry more or less than their pages suggest. Two boats with the same word on their lists may also mean quite different things, so treat this table as a starting list of questions.
Are the toys included in the rate?
Sometimes, and you have to check item by item. Lamima's wording is the plainest: its private charter rate lists water toys as included. That rate appears in the price table on this page, covering private charters from 1 December 2025 to 30 November 2026, plus 11% VAT. A trip after that needs a newer figure.
The Phinisi 50 listing is a useful example of a partial match. Its inclusion line covers diving, kayak, snorkel and fishing equipment. Its list of gear also names water skis, a wakeboard and a windsurfer, but those three are not in the inclusion line. They may well be covered. You would only know by asking, and that gap between "on board" and "in the rate" is exactly what to close before you sign.
Fuel is the other cost to raise. We have no source on how boats charge for fuel used by motorised toys, or for any extra sailing done to reach a place where they can be used. Our page on what a luxury phinisi rate includes shows how the wider inclusion lists compare, and the page on diving costs deals with scuba, which often has its own arrangements.
Can jet skis be used inside the park?
Not under any rule we can cite. What we have is one operator's position: Vela limits Seabob and jet-ski use to outside national park boundaries. That is Vela's statement about its own boat. We have not found a park authority text on motorised water toys, so we will not present Vela's limit as park law, and we will not suggest that any other boat handles this the same way or differently. Lamima lists jet skis, and its wording does not say where they run. It would be wrong to read anything into that silence.
What this means in practice depends on your route. UNESCO describes the park as three major islands and numerous smaller ones covering 219,322 hectares, so "outside the boundary" may mean a planned stop on the itinerary and not a quick detour from your anchorage. If a jet ski is a large part of why you are booking, ask the captain or operator where it would actually be used on your route, on which day, and how much sailing that adds.
A related point applies to fishing gear, which the Phinisi 50 listing names. Kompas reports that park rules on activities such as diving, fishing and flying a drone carry their own tickets. So a rod on board does not settle whether you can use it at a given anchorage, or whether a ticket is needed first. Ask about that as well.
What should you confirm in writing?
A list on a website is an advertisement, and the offer is where it becomes something you can hold someone to. These are the questions worth settling.
| Ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Which items will be on board for your dates, and how many of each? | Two paddleboards for ten guests is a different day from ten |
| Is each item in the rate, or charged separately? | Being on the list and being in the rate are separate questions |
| Where may each motorised item be used on your route? | One operator limits them to outside the park boundary |
| Who supervises, and is instruction provided? | Beginners on an e-foil need more than a board |
| Are there age, swimming or certification limits? | This matters most for families, and rules may differ by item |
| Who pays for fuel and for any detour? | Neither list says, so get it written |
| What happens if an item is broken or stays ashore? | Decide in advance whether anything is owed |
| Who decides that conditions are too rough? | On Vela's published terms, senior crew make that call |
Ask your insurer too. An operator guide advises checking that travel insurance covers boat trips and diving, and it costs little to ask whether motorised water sports need a separate mention. Our page on travel insurance goes through what to raise.
Then think about what you would actually do with a week on board. A long list looks generous on a web page, but a party that wants to kayak at dawn and snorkel after breakfast may never touch the rest. Choosing on one or two items you care about, and getting those confirmed, is a sounder basis than counting entries.
Will a published list hold for a 2027 trip?
You should not assume so. The lists above were checked in November 2026, and none of them promises a particular item for a future date. Gear gets replaced and boats change their fit-out between seasons, so ask for an inventory for your dates close to signing, and again before the balance falls due.
What else do people ask about water toys?
Are jet skis allowed in Komodo National Park?
Not under any park rule we could confirm. Vela says it uses Seabobs and jet skis only outside national park boundaries, which is one operator's policy, so ask your boat where its own would be used.
Are water toys included in the charter price?
Sometimes. Lamima lists water toys as included in its private charter rate, and the Phinisi 50 listing includes kayak, snorkel and fishing equipment. Check each item you care about.
Do all luxury phinisi carry jet skis?
Not on every published list. The Phinisi 50 and Sanctuary lists do not name them. Published lists differ from boat to boat, so ask for the inventory for your dates.
Can I fish with the gear on board anywhere in the park?
Not necessarily. Kompas reports that fishing is among the park activities with their own ticket, so ask where you may fish and who arranges the ticket.
Can a boat's toy list change before my trip?
Yes. A web list is not an inventory for your dates, so ask for one close to signing and have the items that matter written into the offer.
Which published prices did we check?
Operator rate pages, agent listings and park fees, each with its source and the month we checked it. A "from" rate is a starting figure, not a quote and not our offer. Tax, season and dates change the total, so check the source before you rely on a figure.

How do I reach the desk?
Tell the desk which one or two toys matter most, plus your dates, on WhatsApp 6281139414563 or by email at bd@juaraholding.com. The desk replies with what can and cannot be said from published sources. An item counts as promised only once a written offer lists it.
Send the desk your dates, group size, and budget range. The desk replies in writing.
